take these two sentences...'just turn away and dont say goodbye' and 'u turned away and didnt say goodbye'. The base meaning is that someone turned away without saying goodbye. Lets take a typical situation; a guy walks away from a girl. For both frases, the guy does turn away from the girl and walks away without saying goodbye or even a 'see you again sometime'. However, the difference is; the intension of not saying goodbye. The act of not saying goodbye, either comes from the girl or the guy.

Elaboration:

'Just turn away and dont say goodbye'
-it is from the girl. Most probaly silently instructing the guy not to say farewell. Maybe a farewell symbolises a cut in the emotional and physical tie.

'U turned away and didnt say goodbye'
-'no goodbyes' came from the guy. Notice the past tense? It has already happened. It may not be an instruction but we know that i has already happened. The girl may be sulking or upset that the guy didnt say goodbye or even a hug or kiss? It may be intensional or unintensional.

Remember, the words may all be the same but when u put it in different places, it will bring a different meaning. Be careful.
